Not so wishful thinking

I spotted a bargain on Trademe (the NZ second cousin of Ebay) last week and couldn’t resist it.

Butter Churn
It’s a fully operational 4 imperial quart butter churn made in England by Blow. Of course we don’t have any of our own milk yet but we may explore the local farms to see if we can get some fresh from the farm gate as they’re allowed to sell 10 litres at a time.
Purchasing the churn is also a way of celebrating the fact that we have put down a deposit on a Jersey heifer calf. She will be weaned around the end of the year and we will pick her up and bring her home then. She’ll still need to have a calf before we get any milk though so we’ve a while to wait.
